The head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri shares a two minute overview of what's to come on Instagram.
There are four primary areas Instagram is focusing on building out:
Creators
Video
Shopping
Messaging
And although Adam mentions a shift in focus on videos, this does not mean you shouldn't share photos to Instagram anymore.
It just means they are trying to keep up with their competition (TikTok) by prioritizing videos to your Instagram feed.
And because they are pushing videos, they are going to start rewarding Creators for making great content on Instagram,.
Right now Instagram has invited select Creators to their Bonus Programs which include signing up for IGTV ads, badges during Live sessions, and the Reels Summer bonus which pays creators for creating high-performing reels.
